Law Practice Websites: Lead Generating Machine or Pretty Brochure With No ROI?

Are you currently generating leads online? Would you like to be? (Of course you would.) So why aren’t you? Back in 2006, when I began first hearing about the idea of marketing on auto-pilot, I spent loads of time and money to figure out what it actually meant and how I could do it in my own practice. While I loved to get out there and speak to educate my community, I really loved the idea that I could be building my law practice while I slept. So, I decided to learn how it was done. What I discovered is … Continue reading »

Shocker: I Hate Estate Planning

Yes, I know. It’s shocking. The gal that Alexis always talks about being in love with her practice actually hates the words “estate planning”. That image both bores me and bothers … Continue reading »

Legal Marketing: What NOT To Do

I got a piece of lawyer advertising in the mail last week and I just knew I had to share it with you as an example of both what TO do and what NOT to do. First of all, let’s look at what’s really working here: 1. These lawyers are marketing! So even though the marketing could really use many improvements, I will give them major credit for getting out there in the community. One of the things we see repeatedly is that when lawyers just start doing some marketing, any marketing, everything shifts. “I listened to one of your … Continue reading »
